James Burns is a Regional Account Manager, problem solver, educator, and Mighty Man of Valor. He has an Associate’s degree in Automotive Mechanics and Bachelor’s degrees in Automotive Engineering, Parts and Service Management, and Business Administration (w/emphasis in P.R. and Marketing).
He has spent the better part of the last 40 years in some aspect of the automotive industry…from pumping gas and changing oil at a 76-filling station during high school to working a parts counter while in college… from technical support and training at Chevrolet Motor Division to running a full fabrication & custom truck shop. James came to KAGE Innovation in 2025 after spending the previous 4+ years in the municipal equipment industry and loves showcasing only the best products in every category. He was drawn to KAGE Innovation, not just because of quality products, but the observed company culture and alignment of core values.
James appreciates anything with an engine, whether it’s building it or driving it – especially motorcycles. To him, it is a necessity to his mental health, after all, “you never see a bike parked in front of a therapist’s office.” James also loves just about everything outdoors, whether is it a sporting activity such as golf, pickle ball, underwater tobogganing, and full contact chess… or camping, hunting, fishing, and wilderness survival.
James attributes his successes in life to five things: 1) Listening with intent to understand. 2) Speaking not to be understood, but to not be misunderstood. 3) The “3-F’s” Faith, Family, and Friends. 4) Paying a compliment to at least two people each day…one person you know and another to someone you don’t. 5) Luke 2:52
