The SnowStorm BLAST is the most versatile snow pusher on the market for mid-size equipment. Equipped with a 3-in-1 attachment system, it makes connecting the push box to an appropriately-sized tractor or wheel loader a simple task – even if you don’t want to remove your bucket.

It’s 3-in-1 attachment system includes: 

  • a 3-point hitch attachment,
  • floating quick attach for loaders
  • and loader bucket clamp

This ensures you’re never without an option to connect to your equipment and push snow. None of these options require hooking up hydraulic hoses or electric wiring harnesses.

The KAGE SnowStorm BLAST containment box does not interfere with the scraping ability of the cutting edge. This large box plow features spring-loaded polyurethane skids that float and oscillate when they come in contact with objects such as curbs. This allows for cleaner plowing right up to the curb and prevents the machine from being forced to a sudden stop. It also reduces the risk of damaging the curb and/or pusher. The skids lift with the curb as they come in contact with it and then are pushed back down by the leaf springs as pressure from the obstacle is removed.

Unlike most snow pushers, the SnowStorm BLAST is a trip edge pusher, meaning that the cutting edge will break away, folding back 90 degrees, when it comes in contact with immovable objects. This allows it to maintain contact with a curb while still pushing snow up and over it. Due to the length of the cutting edge of the SnowStorm BLAST, the trip edge is also split into two independently tripping sections, preventing excessive twisting of the cutting edge and/or moldboard as well as limiting the amount of spillage than can occur during the trip.

 

Floating Loader Quick Attach

When used on a front-end loader, this snow pusher offers additional float through KAGE’s quick attach option. This allows the plow to contour to front-to-back changes including dips and bumps in the plowing surfaces – like you might encounter crossing a crowned road or plowing hills and valleys.

When used as a snow pusher for tractors, the 3-point hitch option is a great solution, allowing for a stable attachment that still allows for plenty of ability to lift the plow when needed without interfering with its oscillation or trip capabilities.

For those looking for a clamp-on snow plow for a tractor bucket – or a loader bucket snow plow, the SnowStorm BLAST accommodates that as well. This means you don’t have to take your bucket off of your machine to attach the BLAST snow pusher. Just drive the bucket into the slots in the 3-in-1 attachment system and ratchet the clamp in place. Safety chains can be used for additional security.

For that constant contact on surfaces that are uneven side to side, the SnowStorm BLAST allows for up to 12 degrees of oscillation through the use of the specialized SnowStorm BLAST slot plate on the back of the moldboard. This is extremely helpful when pushing snow on a side hill or other lateral slope to keep the cutting edge flat with the plowing surface and prevent gouging.

 

 

Bolt-on Sides

The bolt-on side panels of the BLAST snow box allow for easy replacement and upgrades without having to be a welder – or hire one. Simply remove and replace bolts for upgrades or for access to repair or replace damaged parts of the pusher over time.

Tri-Formed Box For Strength

The KAGE moldboard has a reinforcement structure like no other in its class. The full-length tri-formed box structure gives it the maximum torque resistance and rigidity. We take skid steer pushing seriously. The moldboard is made of 10 gauge GRADE 50 steel, which has a high tensile strength, making it difficult to dent or tear, prolonging the life of the finish and the plow itself.

The SnowStorm Blast snow pusher box and moldboard has a powder coat and primer baked on at 400+ degrees to safeguard all of the steel components and keep the pusher looking great for years. To avoid rust streaks and deteriorating pockets of corrosion, we use a proprietary method of applying seam sealer to all un-welded joints prior to the finish getting baked on, increasing the life of the finish and quality of its appearance.

Floating Poly Skids

Polyurethane skids are much more gentle than rigid steel shoes. They drastically reduce the damage done to delicate surfaces, such as turf, parking blocks, speed bumps and humps and even curbs. These skids will flex and rebound as they hit obstacles, rather than bend permanently like traditional steel shoes. They are also spring loaded with a leaf spring that is encapsulated inside the side panel which keeps down pressure on the skids yet while allowing them to float vertically, 4.75″ at the toe and 6″ at the heel, over obstacles. That heel-to-toe oscillation in the float also allows box pusher to adapt its skid pressure when it is not set down perfectly on the substrate.

Floating Quick Attach

The SnowStorm BLAST series for wheel loaders – also known as front end loaders or payloaders – weighing between 15k and 30k pounds can incorporate many different styles of hook-and-pin style floating quick connect style attachments or loader bucket clamp attachments. Uniquely designed for wheel loaders, the floating hook-and-pin quick attachments allows the plow to float front-to-back while driving over uneven terrain – such as crossing a crowned street or highway. This floating hitch style is recommended for all wheel loader applications as it increases the ability to steer the loader, keeping weight on the front tires, and adds to the scraping ability of the plow. Snow Plow Bucket Clamp

Bucket Clamp

The bucket clamp attachment allows you to slip the bottom of the bucket into a slot on the back of the snow pusher attachment plate and then clamp down on the bucket using a built-in ratchet system to keep the SnowStorm BLAST in place. Safety chains may be used to additionally secure the pusher to the bucket – but are not required.
