Mike Stephan is the Co-Founder and President of KAGE Innovation. He grew up in the landscape industry as his father built a small landscape maintenance company from a station wagon to a multi-million dollar company.
During that time, he discovered a thrill and talent for developing procedures and solving problems, especially when relating to improving efficiency and speed.
He drafted KAGE’s first cam-lock bracket and box design in 2007 on an old drafting table using a #4H pencil and a scale rule. You likely have seen him representing KAGE Innovation on YouTube or quoted in publications such as Construction Equipment Guide.
Mike now holds more than a dozen patents for his inventions and has performed nearly every role within the Kage organization, furthering his skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, product design, computer programs, working in the dirt, and more!
“I love to design in 3D CAD and see the parts ‘come to life’ in minutes rather than days or weeks,” Mike says about his process of creating a better way of doing common and everyday tasks.
When not pursuing the American Dream and watching it thrive, you might just find Mike wakeboarding, bass fishing or cutting grass.
