Universal Undercarriage Tractor Hitch

Harness the power, speed, agility, visibility, versatility and reasonable price point of a tractor for snow removal by adding a KAGE plow to it using a KAGE Under-Hitch system. This universal undercarriage system bolts on to nearly any tractor, adding a 3-point hitch to the front and stability to the frame so you can accommodate not only KAGE snow plows, but any Category II 3-point hitch attachment.

This adjustable tractor undercarriage installs easily in a couple of hours, maximizing ground clearance and lift capacity without needing to remove boom brackets for loader arms. Secured in 4 locations, it withstands heavy loads, twisting and impact – all of which are needed in snow removal!

Experience tells us that ag tractors are extremely versatile, and if properly equipped, they can be powerful weapons in your arsenal. The ag tractors are often overlooked because it isn’t easy to up-fit them with snowplows. However, KAGE founder, Michael F. Stephan sought to change that, and now KAGE Innovation offers a line of turn-key and easy-to-install undercarriages!

The Under-Hitch Universal Tractor Hitch Undercarriage brings the versatility of a 3-point hitch to the front of the tractor while adding the strength and stability to the subframe to support heavy and hardworking 3-point attachments.

4 Points of Installation

The first mounting point for the KAGE Under-Hitch tractor undercarriage is to the tractor’s front bumper.

The Under-Hitch bolts to the drawbar in the rear of the tractor.

On each side of the tractor, the Under-Hitch mounts with a sway bar stabilizer.

Available in three different options, the Under-Hitch is designed for quick-and-easy 4-point bolt-on installation that doesn’t require you to remove the boom brackets for tractor loader arms. Simply bolt it to the front bumper and rear drawbar and add stabilizers to each side.

Drawbar Slide

With a drawbar slide equipped with a threaded adjustment rod, the Under-Hitch keeps the frame tight, preventing slop and egging of bolt holes.

Maximum Ground Clearance

This universal tractor undercarriage keeps maximum ground clearance in mind while also protecting and containing hydraulic hoses.

Hose Control

These hose clamps secure hydraulic hoses to the tractor undercarriage.

This U-Bolt hydraulic hose guide keeps the hoses tight to the side of the tractor between the bulkhead and the kicker.

The hydraulic bulkhead plate keeps the hose couplers organized at the front of the tractor.

The Under-Hitch kicker provides a channel and holes to protect and contain the hydraulic hoses.

The KAGE Under-Hitch system is designed to guide and protect hydraulic hoses through the use of hose clamps, guides and kickers the keep the hoses securely in place and guarded from the dangers of snagging. Plus, it keeps the hoses neat and organized!

Lift Capacity & Down Pressure

The Under-Hitch Front 3-Point Hitch is designed for both high lift capacity and massive down pressure.

With more than a 12,100-pound lift capacity at the front 3-point hooks, it can easily handle any KAGE snow plow as well as an endless supply of other 3-point attachments. Plus. it allows for plenty of down pressure!

Like all of our products, our Under-Hitch tractor undercarriages were put through a gamut of rigorous tests to ensure our customers are getting the best-built product possible.

The 1200 Series Under-Hitch is designed for tractors that are roughly 12 feet long. If your tractor doesn’t fall exactly at that 12-foot mark, don’t worry, it is adjustable – from 126″ to 176″ front bumper to drawbar! The front 3-point hitch on this series allows for 28 inches of travel and extend 29 inches beyond the front bumper.

Typical Pivot Frame Pairing

The Under-Hitch 1200 series typically will be used with a front 3-point hitch lift arms connected which will be compatible with the 3 point pivot frames common to our SnowStorm Systems & SnowDozer Systems.

Most KAGE 1200 Series Under-Hitch systems will utilize the front three-point hitch lift arms.

The 1200 Series KAGE Under-Hitch typically will be paired with 3-point pivot frames like this one on the KAGE SnowStorm plow system.

The 8000 Series Under-Hitch is an undercarriage hitch system designed for tractors that are roughly 8 feet in length. It accommodates tractors that fall within a measurement range of 100″ to 150″ between the bumper and drawbar and offers more than 9 inches of ground clearance. The 3-point lift arm is optional, which provides more than 28″ inches of vertical travel for a KAGE SnowFire snow plow blade.

This series is compatible with the following KAGE plows:

SnowFire 2-in-1 plow and pusher system (with direct hitch or CAT II 3-point hitch)
SnowStorm 2-in-1 plow and pusher system (with the addition of optional lift arm and top link)
SnowStorm BLAST snow pusher (with the addition of optional lift arm and top link)

SnowDozer Wing hydraulic wing plow (with the addition of optional lift arm and top link)

Typical Pivot Frame Pairing

The Under-Hitch 8000 series typically will be used with direct hitch frames on SnowFire series plows. By eliminating the CAT II 3-point linkage, we are able to connect the SnowFire Direct Hitch Pivot Frame directly to the rockshaft pin that normally holds the lift arms and creates a much tighter plow upfit to the front of the tractor. While not as common, the front 3-point lift arms are also available as all series of the Under-Hitch can utilize the same front mount.

The 8000LD Series is our Light Duty Series. Like the 8000 Series, it is designed for roughly 8-foot-long tractors, but ones with less ground clearance. The 8000LD Series Under-Hitch is slightly lower profile to accommodate that and maintain maximum ground clearance. This tractor undercarriage accommodates a bumper to drawbar measurement range of 96″ to 116″ and offers approximately 10 inches of ground clearance.

Like the standard 8000 series, the Under-Hitch 8000LD series is most often used with direct hitch pivot frames – meaning no front 3-point lift arms. However, those same 3-point lift arms are available.
