The KAGE System is the Best Commercial Snow Plow
Picture this… you are a professional contractor making a living in the snow removal industry. You wake up at a reasonable hour with plenty of sleep. Then, have a smooth, efficient, profitable work day and make it home before dark. You have the best snow pusher on the market that has yet to have issues. You are happy as you can be! In the distance, you hear a faint beeping that sounds much like the alarm you set on your phone, and reality quickly sets in. You were sleeping in your truck after plowing for twenty hours. The attachment plate on your pusher suddenly snapped off and was inoperable, but thankfully you were almost done with your site, so you could get a couple of hours of sleep before finishing the job. Then, you look out the window to realize it has snowed another 3-4 inches! What was supposed to be the best pusher on the market couldn’t withstand the abuse of snow removal. So, you weld on extra supports, and it gets the job done… but by no means efficiently. As you are dealing with fixing broken machinery, customers are calling to request that the operator come back, and you have almost given up hope striving for the best way to do snow removal.
However, keep hope! The KAGE system provides a way to save time and money! Not to mention keeping customers happy, which we all know is hard to do. The KAGE invention was fueled by finding a better way; look no further; it is here!
2-in-1 Snow Pusher Plow
All the KAGE snow plow systems, including the SnowFire, SnowStorm & SnowDozer, have incorporated the revolutionary idea of the 2-in-1 system. The concept combines a pusher box and a power angle blade that you can switch between within seconds! On top of that, you never have to leave the cab! You tilt the blade down on a skid steer or a loader and hook on the box with self-locking floating cam brackets. No hydraulics are required! This means fewer failure points, less downtime, and maximum efficiency! We have also made it easy for tractor and loader operators by introducing the hydro clamp system to lock on your box with high-quality hydraulics seamlessly. The hydro clamp system provides the same convenience as the cam lock system yet has a built-in float to protect your hydraulics further. The simple yet well-thought-out design is the beauty of the KAGE system! However, the KAGE team did not stop there; we made sure that our 2-in-1 plow system was tough and could take all the abuse of snow removal without breaking down. Industry’s Best Power Angling Blade
This system has the most angling capacity on the market to make it easy. Equipped with a 35-degree power angle, it allows the operator to tightly maneuver around corners and parking lot islands. It also makes plowing large driveways easy; you may not even have to drag back! The power angle and maneuverability of the KAGE system far exceed the capacity of many other plows on the market. The ability to angle the blade and box system is a game changer compared to the straight snow pusher. Here is a video to see how the angle blade works!
Over-Built Moldboard Construction
The KAGE moldboard is overbuilt, to say the least. Each wear component has been given extra supports, extra thick material, bigger bolts, and more welds. This is designed to last. Can you get a military-grade stamp for a plow? If so, this would exceed the mark! Many snow pushers do not have sturdy construction and often times need extra supports added, the KAGE system does not have that problem! Check out this video to see the over-built moldboard construction.
Constant Contact Oscillation
If you have ever plowed snow, you know the ground is never level. You also know how much of a hassle it is to make more than one pass to clean the imperfections. To ensure your blade maintains constant contact with the substrate so that you don’t have to make more than one pass, the KAGE snow plow is equipped with 6-degree +/- oscillation. This allows the plow to move with the pavement. The positioning of the oscillation is essential as well. KAGE decided to put the oscillation right above the cutting surface. This ensures that oscillation moves with the blade, not the pivot frame. It also ensures that the blade has contact with the ground at all times. This plow would have no problem clearing the steep corner of a race track in one pass! Here’s a video to see the constant contact oscillation in action!
Razor Sharp Attack Angle
If you have ever used a razor blade to scrape off paint, you would have quickly found that there is a right and wrong way to do it. You must have the proper angle so that the paint will scrape cleanly. This was the driving force of the attack angle on the KAGE system. Our cutting edge is at the perfect angle to cleanly scrape the substrate as if using an 8-14 ft razor blade. To learn more about the attack angle, check out this video!
Sturdy Box Form Construction
The KAGE brand is built tough, and we want to ensure that every product we put out holds to our standard. Therefore, we ditched the typical moldboard construction, a standard rib construction, and traded it for a much sturdier design. We incorporated a box form construction on the back of the moldboard. This increases rigidity, support, and strength!
Unique King Pin and Pivot Frame Design
The KAGE system has a unique king pin attachment style for the pivot frame. This allows you to easily detach the blade from the pivot frame if necessary. It also provides the greater strength and visibility. This durable and design also allows the operator to easily get in and out of the cab. The extra length makes it easy to see the front of the plow while operating the machine, and it allows the operator to push the snow farther back over a curb. Which especially comes in handy when dealing with a wet snow fall and you do not want to ruin the turf. This means less damage to property, and equipment, while saving you time and money! To learn more about the benefits of this unique king pin and pivot frame design, check out this video!
Professional Powder Coat Finish
We use a unique two-tone powder coat finish to give your equipment a long-lasting professional look.
Durable Trip Cutting Edge System
KAGE has equipped their equipment with a high quality trip edge system when most snow pushers do not have one. Our durable trip cutting-edge system ensures operator safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime. This is due, in part, to key components that increase the life of wear items. Watch this to see how the durable trip cutting edge system works!
Curb Conquering Trip Edge
With almost a 90-degree trip edge, this plow rolls right over curbs. This trip edge also makes for minimal spillage when it is activated. It also protects the driver from impact and reduces fatigue.
High-Quality Compression Springs
The trip edge system has durable, high-quality compression springs with minimal wear points. Unlike tension springs, these do not stretch over time, causing them to wear out and need replacement. Check out this video to see why we use high quality compression springs over tension springs.
Thick High Carbon Steel Cutting Edge
Our 5/8″ thick cutting-edge, made of high-carbon steel, is heavy-duty and durable. We also have a standard highway DOT punch, so you do not only have the buy the KAGE cutting edge. To learn more about the benefits of our cutting edge, check out this video!
Optional Curb Guard Protection Kit
To extend the life of your base angle and cutting edge, KAGE offers an austempered ductile heat-treated iron curb guard kit. This is perfect for operators that run a lot of curb lines and want to get the most life out of their equipment. To learn more about the curb guard kit, check out this video!
Optional Back Drag Kit
To plow more snow in one pass, KAGE has an optional back drag kit. The back drag kit is an easily installed polyurethane wedge that bolts to the back of your cutting edge. This enables you to back drag more snow at a time, and get the job done faster! To learn more about it in this KAGE back drag kit video!
Optional Poly Cutting Edge
When plowing stamped concrete or other fragile surfaces, it is essential to have the right edge. Our polyurethane cutting edge is perfect for areas such as these. It also has about the same life span as a steel cutting edge.
High-Quality Hydraulic System
All of our plows come with a high-quality hydraulic system. This provides you with greater efficiency – meaning less downtime.
Tough Fabric Hose Covers
We use a high-quality protective hose covering. This acts as if you pinched your hand with a glove on. Likely, your glove will get stuck, but your hand will remain unharmed. We use the fabric hose covering to help protect it if it drags on the ground without the operator noticing. It is also used to help protect the hydraulic line from being pinched and damaged. Here is a video explaining the use of the tough fabric hose covers!
Standard Crossover Relief Valve
When plowing, it is expected that you are bound to hit something eventually, especially when fatigue takes effect. We included a crossover relief valve as a standard on all KAGE plows. This protects the operator, the plow, and the equipment you are running. If the operator hits a post or other immovable object, this small piece of equipment diverts that hydraulic fluid over to the other cylinder. Therefore, the pressure does not build up, burst a hose or divert back to the machine and cause detrimental damage. If you’re curious to know more about this design, check out this video about the crossover relief valve!
Heavy-Duty Connect-Under-Pressure Couplers
We use heavy-duty, flat-faced, connect-under-pressure couplers to make it easy to attach hoses in the harsh winter weather. This means you do not have to bring extra tools to connect or disconnect your hoses, which is time-consuming and frustrating. With these couplers, you can be ready to go within seconds. Check out this video to see why we use flat faced connect under pressure couplers couplers!
Adjustable Hose Clamp
So that the KAGE system can be used on almost any machine in the easiest way possible, we have an adjustable hose clamp. Our pivot frame has multiple mounts that you can use to run the hydraulics that best fits your machine.
Large Industrial Containment Box
Overbuilt by design, the KAGE system has a large containment box that exceeds the capacity of other snow pushers on the market. This allows you to push more snow in one pass! We also eliminated any guesswork the operator may experience when putting on the box by making extra-long components.
Heavy Duty Float Brackets
The KAGE containment box’s secret is what makes it all work. The secret of the 2- in-1 snow pusher and power angle blade is hidden in the cam lock bracket system. These cam lock brackets allow the box to come free when tilted past a certain degree and lock into place at another. This will enable you to transition between your angle blade and snow pusher within seconds and not worry about the box falling off. This bracket system also has built-in float, which allows the box to glide over the terrain without interfering with the blade scraping. These brackets are much wider than the hook needs, making it easy and simple to hook on and go! Here is a video to get more information about the cam brackets!
We have also made it easy for machines such as tractors, telehandlers, and some loaders, to have the same benefit of the 2 in 1 system. We have a hydro lock system that allows you to clamp on the box within seconds to transition between jobs. These also have the same float design to ensure your cutting edge is always on the substrate. We have also made extra long brackets to make attaching the box easy and simple.
Tough and Gentle Poly Skids
Unlike most snow pushers with a metal shoe, the KAGE system has a polyurethane skid. Polyurethane is a high-quality rubbery plastic that has a very long wear life. It is also shock-absorbent and flexible. This allows you to run curbs without damaging the substrate. Along with the crossover relief valve, it also helps protect the operator. It takes some of the brunt force of the impact and lets the crossover relief valve do the same. Check out poly skids video to learn why this is a helpful feature.
Extra Wide Snow Catch
Each KAGE has an extra wide snow catch. This ensures that snow is not going to dribble out. It also pertains if the box moves. It will continue to contain the snow while the box is doing its job and keeping the blade on the ground. Check out this video to see why the snow catch is a useful tool!
Polyurethane Protective Isolator
To extend the cosmetic life of your plow, KAGE includes a durable poly isolator between the box and the blade. It provides a cushion between where the box hits the blade protecting the blade and box from unnecessary wear.
Floating Pivot Frame Option
To accommodate the float mechanism built into loaders, we have a floating pivot frame option. This has a floating top link, allowing you to use the float mode on your loader while the blade has constant contact with the substrate and all four wheels remain on the ground. This will enable you to maintain control while getting the job done efficiently! To learn more about the floating pivot frame, check out this video!
Wide Variety of Floating Quick Attaches
KAGE also offers a variety of floating quick attaches. Each one has a built-in float to give you the best use of your plow and equipment. Above are the current available quick attaches.
