The Perfect Plow – The KAGE® snow plow and pusher system combines the snow pusher capabilities to move large amounts of snow with the versatility of the snow plow for skid steers, wheel loaders, and tractors into one easy to use attachment.
The main difference between the LBK Series Snow Plow System and the SBK Snow Plow System is there’s a floating top link just forward of the quick attach plate. On a compact wheel loader, this floating top link is crucial for keeping the plow blade tight to the plowing surface.
For many generations, snow plow moldboards were designed in a similar way – a curved piece of steel with thin ribbing for support at the back of the plow. Enter the 21st century, snow plow crews are now using heavy equipment like skid steers, tractors, wheel loaders and more to take on the larger more demanding snow sites.
Snow plowing is always going to be a necessity as our country, cities, and towns continue to grow. Those contractors that do what they do best, and do it repeatedly, will usually outperform and out maneuver the competition. KISS is a well known acronym for “Keep It Simple, Stupid”. While this statement may seem derogatory, it holds a lot of truth. Especially when it comes to snow plowing and snow removal operations.
How to Unload and Install Your Snowfire Plow System for Skid Steers
In this video, we’re going to demonstrate the quickest, simplest way to unload and install the KAGE Snow Plow System for your skid steer. From time to time we get customers asking about what they need to do to prepare for unloading their new snow plow system … and more importantly, getting it installed on their machine.
A steel cutting edge will outperform all types of rubber, poly or plastic when it comes to scraping up snow from a parking lot or other paved surface. The KAGE snow plow box features a trip edge that allows you to bolt any type of cutting edge to it, and 5/8” thick, High Carbon 1084 steel is standard on our blades. Steel cutting edges provide the most cost effective way to remove snow and ice from pavement.
