Built on hard work, technical know-how, and a passion for doing big jobs the right way, Trucut Landscaping LLC has carved out a strong reputation across Eastern Connecticut since opening its doors in May of 2009.

Owned and operated by Dylan Sabo and Steve Sparks, Trucut Landscaping delivers a wide range of services including hardscaping, site work, hydroseeding, landscaping, forestry mowing and mulching, and drainage solutions. While their service area is primarily Eastern Connecticut, the team isn’t afraid to travel when the scope and challenge of a project make sense. In a small state like Connecticut, that flexibility has helped Trucut take on jobs others might pass up.

What truly sets Trucut Landscaping apart, however, is its expertise in installing large commercial and residential retaining walls. It’s more than just another service—it’s a point of pride.

Today, Trucut operates with 6 to 7 crew members in the field at all times, supported by one dedicated office team member. That balance allows it to stay efficient in the field while keeping projects organized and clients informed.

Finding the Right Snow Solution

Trucut’s relationship with KAGE Innovation began during the winter of 2016–2017. At the time, it was running a Bobcat T300 skid steer and had just added a used Case 721 wheel loader to its fleet. The loader needed a reliable, high-capacity snow pusher—and Trucut wanted something that would work hard without unnecessary complexity.

That search led to a 14-foot KAGE SnowStorm, and it quickly proved to be the right call.

A Fleet Built Around Simplicity and Reliability

Today, Trucut Landscaping runs a mix of equipment manufacturers, but when it comes to snow removal attachments, KAGE is its go-to. Its current setup includes:

  • A 14′ KAGE SnowStorm on a Case 721 loader
  • A 12′ KAGE SnowFire on a brand-new Yanmar V12 wheel loader
  • A 9′ KAGE SnowFire on a brand-new Yanmar TL75VS compact track loader

The decision to continue investing in KAGE products comes down to a few core principles Trucut values deeply: simplicity, efficiency, and reliability.

“The concept is very simple,” they explain. “Very efficient as far as the way they scrape the load with angle, and the ease of taking the push box off so we can back drag tight areas and loading docks.”

That simplicity and few components translate directly to uptime—especially critical during snow events when equipment failure isn’t an option.

Confidence When It Matters Most

For Trucut Landscaping, snow removal is about more than moving snow—it’s about showing up prepared and confident that their equipment will perform. The durability and straightforward design of KAGE plows give them peace of mind when the weather turns.

“We really appreciate the units we use because we know there isn’t much that can go wrong. We show up on site to plow and know the KAGE plows are going to be reliable for us,” they say.

After years of use across multiple machines, Trucut Landscaping continues to see innovation coming from KAGE and looks forward to adding more of their products in the future. For a company built on tackling demanding work with confidence, dependable tools aren’t optional—they’re essential.
