Three winners have been chosen by social media vote in KAGE Innovation’s wing plow contest that marked the launch of its two newest hydraulic wing plows – The SnowFire Wing and The SnowStorm Wing.

The top vote getter was Central Region winner Maggert Lawn Care, LLC, of Concordia, Missouri, while Premier Snow and Ice Management of Fargo, North Dakota, won the Western Region, and Innovative Lawn & Landscape of Torrington, Connecticut, was the Eastern Region winner.

All three of these companies represent KAGE’s core values of Brave, Humble, Competitive, Loyal, Clean, Willing, Truthful and Perseverant – and are well versed in using KAGE products with more than 35 years of combined experience in the snow removal industry.

Central Region Winner: Maggert Lawn Care, LLC

As a firefighter and business owner, Maggert Lawn Care’s Chris Maggert is committed to service.

“When we show up for a job, whether it’s emergency response or clearing snow, we do it safely, efficiently and with pride,” Chris said. “I believe in investing in tools and systems that make us better, faster and more dependable for our customers.”

Maggert Lawn Care as served the Concordia, Missouri, area for the past 13+ years for everything from residential and commercial snow plowing to sidewalk clearing and salting/de-icing.

“We focus on fast, reliable service with clean edges, safe walkways and efficient turnaround times,” Chris says.

In the past and present, Maggert Lawn Care has utilized multiple KAGE SnowFire 2-in-1 plow and pusher systems in its Kubota skid steers.

“My experience with KAGE has always been excellent,” Chris said. “The speed of switching from angle plowing to straight pushing saves us time on every single property. The durability is unmatched—Missouri winters are unpredictable, but the KAGE system has held up flawlessly against heavy, wet snow and repeated storms. The clean scrape and efficient windrowing are significantly better than traditional plows we’ve used before.”

With that in mind, Chris is excited to be the first snow removal service between Kansas City and New York City to own a SnowFire Wing plow. Not only will he be the proud owner of “A” SnowFire Wing, but he will own the first two SnowFire wings in that stretch – both with 8 foot center moldboards and 3 foot hydraulically powered wings.

“This system is exactly what our operation needs as we continue to grow. We are adding a brand new skid steer to the fleet this season.”

He plans to pair that skid steer with the SnowFire Wing where he’s confident the added width, control, and containment of the wing system will “clear larger commercial lots with fewer passes, faster turnaround times, and a noticeably cleaner finish.”

“As our snow route expands each season, having equipment that increases efficiency without sacrificing quality is essential,” Chris said, noting that the SnowFire Wing will help him stay competitive with larger companies while remaining loyal to the high standards his company is known for.
“It aligns perfectly with how we work—clean, precise, and relentlessly reliable.”

Run by James Doyle, Innovative Lawn & Landscape has served the Torrington, Connecticut, area for the past 9 years, taking pride in reliability, efficiency and teamwork.

” Our crews and equipment are always prepped to deliver dependable, high-quality snow and ice management results,” James says. “We emphasize innovation through proper planning, fleet organization, and investing in products like KAGE that maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.”

Providing snow removal services for locations like medical facilities, condo/homeowner associations and aerospace manufacturing clients, Innovative Lawn and Landscape knows the importance of timeliness and reliability. That’s why it relies on its four 9 foot Midnight Edition SnowFire 2-in-1 systems.

“Our crews love them — the scrape is excellent, and the versatility to switch from box mode to blade mode makes clearing corners and parking stalls incredibly efficient. Being able to carry full boxes of snow through parking lanes saves a tremendous amount of time and back-blading effort.”

James has tested wing plows of different brands in the past and found solid results. However, he said, “We’ve always found KAGE’s scrape performance and simplicity to be superior, which led us back to KAGE products. The ability to independently control wings for detail work was a major advantage with other systems, and we’d love to combine that feature with KAGE’s reliability, containment, and finish quality.”

And now, he’ll get that chance as the first SnowFire Wing plow owner east of the Great Lakes with Innovative Lawn & Landscape adding custom black 0814 wing plow to its fleet.

Adam Nelson and his crew at Premier Snow & Ice Management have not only trusted KAGE plows in their snow removal fleet since 2012, but were so happy with the plows that they became an Authorized KAGE Dealer in 2022. Known as the go-to dealer of KAGE’s midnight edition (black) plows, Premier Snow & Ice Management uses and sells nearly the full line-up of KAGE snow removal products, including the SnowFire, SnowStorm, SnowDozer Series of plows as well as KAGE Klawz snow tires.

Premier Snow & Ice Management was an early adopter of KAGE’s original wing plow – The SnowDozer Wing (48-inches tall) – and had such great success with them that it has decided to add both the SnowStorm Wing (36-inches tall) and SnowFire Wing (32-inches tall) to its fleet. With the addition of SnowFire Wings with 7-foot (0713) and 9-foot (0915) centers and a SnowStorm Wing with a 10-foot (1018) center moldboard and 4-foot wings, Premier Snow & Ice Management will be the first snow removal company to own a KAGE SnowStorm Wing plow – anywhere – and the first one west of the 96th parallel to own a SnowFire Wing plow.
