Snow removal isn’t a complicated task, but to help operators elevate their skillset we’re sharing a few of our best snow plowing tips with you to help increase your productivity. KAGE manufactures commercial-grade snow plows for Skid steers, Tractors, Loaders and more. In this video, KAGE highlights the use of a skid steer with the KAGE SnowFire Plow System. Using a skid steer to plow snow in parking lots is a huge time saver!

Ideally, you should conduct training sessions for all your operators prior to the winter snow plowing season. In the meeting, review aerial photos of the parking lot site to determine where the snow will be stacked and then determine what plowing sequence will be the fastest. In the end, saving time at the site will result in increased profitability for your company.  Advanced knowledge of each site plan is also appreciated by your clients.

With KAGE’s patented Snowkage and Blade System, you’ll be able to maximize the versatility of a skid steer. Attaching and detaching the box takes only seconds because the operator never has to leave the cab. In the video you’ll see how the operator uses the SnowFire as a pusher plow and just as a blade to maximize efficiency.

Parking lots are usually the most difficult to maneuver because no two lots are the same and sometimes the operator is left to contend with parked cars. Again, using a skid steer to navigate such obstacles is effortless. Spinning around and plowing in both directions with a skid steer is the biggest advantage over the use of a truck – not to mention safer since you rarely have to go in reverse.

Snow removal can be a tiresome job, but with the combination of a skid steer and the KAGE SnowFire Plow System your operators will be fighting over use of the equipment, making it fun again! Take the time to plan out your plowing sequence beforehand with your crew members and use “smart” equipment like KAGE. You and your crew will only benefit from the upgrade.
