This new snow plow back drag kit is made from the same proprietary polymer blend as our poly snow plow cutting edges and box skids. I have to tell you, we started testing this product design with rubber, but the results were less than satisfying. When the product is installed, the two back catches are supported by two powdered coated angle brackets that will prevent the mounting bolts from pulling through the material.
Quick, Simple Installation.
This kit can be installed in minutes, but it’ll save way more time at the job site.Today, I’m going to install this on one of our demo plows to show you just how easy it is to install. This kit will fit any 6- to 8-inch snow plow cutting edge that’s machined with a standard highway punch bolt pattern. For tools, all you’ll need to install the kit is an impact drill, 15/16” deep-well socket and a 15/16” standard wrench.
The first thing we need to do is remove the two outer cutting edge bolts located on either side of the plow. Since you’re adding depth to the mounting of the Kit, use the new bolts that come with the kit.
The snow plow back drag kit comes with:
2 Poly Back Drag Catches
4 Backing Plates for secure mounting
4 High Strength Steel Bolts and 4 Flange Lock nuts
Before you tighten the bolts, make sure the poly back catch is set to where it will just set on the ground. Once you have the back catch set to the optimal height from the plowing surface, tighten up the bolts and you’re done!
